Private Art Commission

When I’m ready to make a photograph, I think I quite obviously see in my minds eye something that is not literally there in the true meaning of the word. I’m interested in something which is built up from within, rather than just extracted from without.
— Ansel Adams

Bill says this is how and what he sees, when he views a car. - “As I approach each car I do not see just a car, I see lines, curves, and shapes that all come together as art. The emotion I see and feel as I create my art imagery has to be the latent passion of the designer. My purpose is to isolate this emotion, present it as art to be appreciated and explored, allowing the viewer to find the stories that reside below the surface of paint and shaped metal.”

This is the approach Bill brings to each commission and is what sets his work apart. Bill’s imagery transcends car photography and moves into the realm of art. It is why collectors seek Bill out to create art imagery of their cars. Historic importance of a car is one reason to have a particular car in your collection. The other is emotional and over time your experience is embedded into the fabric of the car’s story. Bill’s imagery reflects and presents these as a visual narrative of the car under your custodianship.
